My Favorite Photo

This is a photo from 2022 of me, my brother, and our friends on a band trip to Orlando for spring break. This trip had so many great memories and with my brother going to the Illinois Math and Science Academy (a public boarding school) and me graduating leaving the rest of these friends behind, its great to have these pictures to look back on. Being the oldest in the group, I thought it was funny to force them to take a bunch of pictures, and I'm glad I did.

Some of my earliest memories are from my family's trips to Disney and Universal starting in preschool, so these parks really hold a special place in my heart. After having not been there for so long an going with friends instead of family, I was worried that maybe the parks would no longer be such a great place for me, but they still were.

Even though this trip was almost two years ago, it feels like it was just yesterday, because senior year felt so fast and rushed, it was a great time before stuff really got crazy in my life in the buildup to college.

College Challenges

Apply to North Central College

Hello everyone, in this post I'm going talk about some of the struggles I have had so far in college. As expected, Calculus 2 is by far my hardest class, with lots of homework and studying required to get a good grade. I always try to balance my workload in harder classes as to not affect easier ones. I would rather get a B in every class then an A in calc and a C in everything else.

Another challenge has been keeping track of everything going on. I have homework, class, tests, quizzes and projects. I also have to practice for concert band and keep track of all marching band events, rehearsals and games, and those schedules can change often. I have also been helping in the manufacturing lab so that is just another thing to keep track of.

One of the more unforeseen challenges has been caused by my roommate not showing up. I have gotten several email telling me a new roommate will be moving in soon, but nothing ever happens. It is pretty stressful to have the possibility that a person I don't know may or may not show up without my knowledge.
